Question:

Has anyone on this forum used the DNA Ancestry Project?

The best way I've heard of to scientifically discover your ethnic roots is through DNA testing. I really want to do this but don't have the spare $$$. But I'd sure like to know other people's experiences. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, check out the Ancestry Project at http://www.dnaancestryproject.com/...

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Charlie, don't bother to make a donation of cells or cash if you can't afford that. What good would it be to you to learn where your thousands (millions?) of ancestors were hunting and gathering over 10,000 years ago?

When you have already researched - documented - your genealogy at least some 200 years back if you're doing better financially you may wish to participate in a yDNA (males only) SURNAME genealogy project for possible marker matches to help guide your research direction.
