Tips for reading Steven Erikson's Gardens of the Moon ??

I think this book is incredibly dense and confusing, but last time I tried to read it was years ago -- any advice before I take another shot at it ??

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Ha, when I first picked it up I was fairly confused by its complicated history and general vastness of his writing. What I did was I read the Index in the front and back..

Characters, places, towns, locations....

And then I kept referring to them if I got confused while reading the book.

He is the best Author I have ever read. I have read 6 of the Malazan books already. There good.
