it's $60 and I'm looking for something that i can do a good quality recording on from my house

What's more important than the microphone, however, is the acoustic environment. What kind of music are you doing? With what instruments? If you record in your bedroom, it will sound like that unless you take care to learn about acoustics and microphone techniques (if you haven't already done so). Also, the associated equipment needs to be of a decent quality to get the most out of any microphone.
