Question:

What do you think of this poem I wrote a year or so ago?

AT THE END OF THE WORLD

Jane looks into the mirror
To see what to despise
No beauty in her reflection
And disgust in her eyes
Nothing is ever perfect enough
Nothing she??s ever known
She Lives off the air
And is in love with bones
Jane disintegrates into nothing

Bobby walks down the street
The rain falls on his head
But he don??t fell a thing
Cause all his nerves are dead
He loves to take in toxins
That??s aren??t in love with him
They??ll eventually be his killer
But for now there his friend
Bobby thinks reality is a bore

Mary??s found a substitution
For something she??s always missed
She??s fucked hundreds of guys
But never once been kissed
She has self respect
And she is just
A body with no soul
No love just lust
Mary sold herself short

Michael grew up
Underneath a cloud
No one to tell him what??s right
Happiness was not aloud
He never had anything
He stole what he needed to live
But he figured it was alright to steal
What society never would give
Michael is looking for some light

John??s favorite color is white
His uniforms that shade
He wishes the world was that color
And it won??t be perfect till its that way
He dreams that one day
Everyone will be the same
He kills all the difference
Or sends them back to were they came
John stays clean

George could never live up
To the goals society set
He never did much
Cause nothing he did was adequate
While others were winning
He was just runner up
Others have plates of gold
He??s got an empty cup
George has lost the race

Sara doesn??t like the world she lives in
It??s like she??s been cursed
Today is horrible
But tomorrow is always worst
With a razor in her hand
And darkness on her mind
She??ll make the adjustments
And leave her hell behind
Sara found a solution

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: This poem is interesting, long and sad.
It has characters and every one of them has a different story. I almost saw them.

The topic you choose is dark, but whatever!

Please, young poets, try to be more optimistic!
