I am researhing my family history, i am wanting to know what the title "von" means in Germany?

The full name is "von Ohsen" if anyone can help i would apperciate it. I have searhed several differant web sites and they haven't been to helpful. Thanks SB

I do know where the von ohsen come from in germay, hanover. i have started the website von ohsen just in the last 3 weeks or so. i just remember my grandmother telling me a small child that we were of "blue blood". thanks for the imput. sb
