*Dyslexic Heart*
You said your heart was an open book,
and mine was just the same,
And we could read each other't thoughts
as if they were on an open page.
You read aloud with confidence -
the diary of my heart,
And then ferociously you turned on me
and tore my soul apart;
You told me that you loved me,
you wrote it to me in song -
If your heart was an open book -
I must've read it wrong.

untitled.
Remembering the joys of intimacy -
that you and i once shared -
and all those thoughts you said to me,
when my heart lay bare.
I let you whisper in my ear
and tried to beleive the words were true,
because i wanted the affection -
more than i wanted you.
You calmed my fears momentarily
to pursue that unquenchable fire -
but when you said, "I love you,"
in my thoughts i called you "liar."

... yeah me too. i think they're sappy and pathetic. they are seven years old though. i was trying to decide whether to save them for the heck of it, or junk them entirely.
