Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It is the diary of a Jewish girl ( Anne Frank) written during the period she spend with her family and some of their friends in a hiding place ( a secret annexe in an office building) in Amsterdan, during the Nazi German occupation in World War II. She uses the diary as an outlet for her feelings. Besides the conflicts that happen when different people are forced to be confined in such a small space under terrible circunstances, she also describes the emotions and doubts of a normal teenager.
