Question:

Who gained more/less power and income during the revolution in Russia?

Was it moreso the peasants, nobles, ethnic minorities or middle class?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: In a nutshell... the nobles completey lost control and were either killed or exiled... the peasants where little better under the Bolseviks then they were under the Czars and the ethic minorites continued to be opressed... cossacks, jews and gypsys actaully had it worse in many cases under the Bolsheviks. In some ways the middle class, the industrial workers had it better, but businessmen and merchants traded one heavy handed central government for another. So in general none gained much, if I had to pick one who did end up better it'd be the middle class.

There is some pretty good summaries on wikipedia if it helps
