if your family crest is genuine have an uncle who paid a fortune to have one made ,is it for the tip then ?

Go to the (legitimate) source (at least for British/UK heraldry). Family crests can be granted, but not in the way most people think. They don't belong to a "family".
On the other hand, uncle PAID to have one created, or so you said. He didn't buy one off the internet (normally a scam, if you don't know how they work). I'd guess if he wanted one enough, had the money to spend, and didn't get fooled by misinformation, it is "valid". Just not registered.
