Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: In my experience, a lot of times they shoot the scenes on a Sound Stage which a big warehouse insulated to shut out outside sound. In there they can more easily control the lighting and make it any time of day they please. They can replicate an outdoor scene as well, it just depends. Of course they can actually shoot at night, outside as well or even in the early morning hours.
