My professor downs famous heroic soldiers for being too bloodthirsty but admires Che?

Is there some hypocrisy to that, I heard that Che ENJOYED killing people.

On the other hand, some on the left side say he killed no one?

Are famous, heroic soldiers really bloodthirsty?
