How come everytime you ask a question on yahoo it minuses 5 points?

How come everytime you ask a question on yahoo it minuses 5 points?

i know its gonna take away 5 pts but i used to think u got additional points.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Its called Yahoo Answers. I think their main goal is to get people to ANSWER questions. If there are fewer questions asked (due to peoples fear of losing too many points) it may force people to actually answer questions they typically would ignore.

I personally think it would be nice to get points for asking questions since without questions, there would be no answers. You need one in order to get the other.
