SO why dont they look the same and how could i take one like the first one

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: First one, long lens, large aperture, early morning or late evening, subject in right third, perspective is straight down the tracks.

Second one, short lens, small aperature, during the day, subject centered, perspective is off to the side of the tracks.

Hopefully all of us here have given you some ideas as to how to look at a pic and study its elements. Now you can take that knowledge and translate it into looking at a potential scene for a photograph and start shooting away. Learn everything you can about the basics of photography; fstops, shutter speeds, film speeds/ISO settings, depth of field, lenses, composition, various kinds of light situations, etc. The first shot is not hard to do at all if you have the right equipment and know how. Go for it and have fun.
