Question:

How did the English win North America over the Natives,French, and Spanish?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The British successfully colonized North America because of their powerful navy and the origanization of the North American Colonies. The British navy prevented the colonies from being attacked, and defended the shipping routes. British Colonies enjoyed a great deal more autonomy than the French and Spanish ones, it was easy to migrate and upon arrival it was easy to prosper. The high standard of living found in the colonies caused there to be a very high birth rate and immigration rate, fueling rapid population growth. French Quebec was founded a year after Jamestown however in 1763 there were 70,000 people in French North America, while there were over 2,000,000 in British North America. By that point the sheer numbers and a strong navy were too great for the Natives, French or Spanish to counter, even together as they tried in the Seven Years War.
