Question:

What were successes and failures of Nixon??s foreign policy?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Although Tricky Dick made his political career hunting commies, he ran from the news media cameras to offer China diplomatic ties. This from the jerk that established and authored the Nixon-Mundt Act, still on the books, which requires all American Communists to be incarcerated in unspecified concentration camps.

Nixon's best speech was on national television specifically denying American forces had never operated outside of the Viet Nam theater, five minutes later, half a world away, the first Huey helicopters crossed the frontier into Laos and Cambodia. Richard Milhouse Nixon would later claim we achieved "peace with honor" as we tucked tail and ran from the Nam.

Nixon represents quiet a paradox. I don't think he realized the career he wanted at all. And we can thank God for that.
