Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: the universe as we know today is Expanding and the expansion accelerates more. 73% of the whole Observable Universe is entirely made up of dark energy, 23% is made up of dark matter, and the remaining 4% are the atoms/matter/US... as dark energy is more dense than the dark matter, it accelerates the expansion of the universe more and all the matter(by matter i mean all the stars and galaxies and planets) move far away from each other making it a bit more difficult for scientists to study the universe and the composition of both dark energy and dark matter are still a mystery and most of the studies today evolve on mere theories...
