Nartuo fans...why do they wear those shoes?

it's been bothering me lately, (don't ask me why,) about why the shinobi in Naruto wear those open-toed shoes. Any guesses why?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I know, it seems wierd to me too. I imagine it's just the style of the ninja? I don't know if Kakashi wears them too, but if he doesn't, maybe those shoes represent that they are ninja in training? But if Kakashi does wear them, maybe it's just shoes that all the ninjas wear lol.
