Question:

How can IMTA not be good for aspiring models and such when..?

how can IMTA not be good for aspiring models and such when eva longoria, katie holmes and brook burns got discovered or have agents from there?? they are very successful people! so how can IMTA be a waste of time??

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: There are several possible answers to this question.

1) Lots of websites put outright lies on their websites. Untill the star finds out about it and demands their name is removed, the website can venefit from using their name.

2) Websites pay stars to use their names. They may approach "Mary Megastar" and give her money to appear, or host an event. Then they talk about their affiliation with her on the website.

3) I looked on the IMTA website. They say that certain stars are "alums." That does not mean they got their break from IMTA. Once they were inexperienced hopefulls, and may have fallen victim to a scam before they learned how to get an agent and book work.

These are just three possibilities, there are others. Modelling is amazingly competitive, and requires a very, very particular appearance. Studying can help improve skills, but if you have the potential to become a successful model, you can walk into a modelling agency, get signed, and they will arrange for training.
