Photographers, what is it called when you take a photo, and the foreground is crystal clear,?

and the back ground looks a bit fuzzy, and how do you get the effect.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: As has been said it is called depth of field with an SLR camera you need to lower the F stop to something like f2.8 which is for a really blurry background but if you try it with different stops you can get really blurry backgrounds or slightly blurry etc
