Question:

What kind of person would it take to survive.....................

being left naked and alone in a remote part of Alaska?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: A spiritualist of the highest order... a naked Hindu ascetic would not only survive such extreme climatic conditions... rather find it homely... a place of isolation where one meditates on God Almighty in peace. This is common feature in India. Even today many spiritual seekers live in the high confines of Himalayas where commoners fear to tread.

For a true ascetic... even the body is an outer garment for the soul atman within. Tactfully... every serious seeker of spirituality acclimatizes his body for extremes! Variations of temperature and climatic conditions do not matter much in the life of a true Hindu ascetic. When I was 11 years of age I went in search of God. It was simply a desire in the beginning. By 13 years of age the desire turned into firm conviction.

Slowly it dawned upon me that our body truly was a garment for the soul atman within. Our soul atman has manifested the body to work out its karma. The moment complete dross within the soul atman removes... our soul atman regains its prime pristine original glory. During the summers when the temperatures exceeded 40Ⰳ, I tuned in my body by keeping a heater by my side. My body gradually accustomed itself to 50Ⰳ.

During winters by proper chanting of mantras... I could increase the temperature of my body sufficient enough to remain strong and healthy. The path of spirituality for every individual is uncharted. We always need to keep our body healthy. India is the spiritual master of the world. One can always find naked ascetics wandering all over India in every type of climate.
