I just got offered a gig playing aprox. 5 songs on guitar at wedding how much should i charge?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: if you are classically trained,and very good. you need to chare no less that $75.00 for every hour you spend w/ these people. time traveling sould not really be coicidered as time, but you can factor the amount into the hourly rate you charge(like an extra $5 an hour of so). if they want you to come the the rehearsal, you charge them for that, however if they do that you can charge them for hours you spend w/ them in rehearsal and then charge a higher amount for the actual wedding.

EX.- then want you at the rehearsal and it is for 2 hours
$75.00 per hour of rehearsal and then another $100+ for the actual wedding (not hourly just for the wedding itsself).
(or something to thateffect)

however, if you are not really classically trained and it is not your CAREER as a performer, then you cant really chage more than 250... but if it is i probably wouldnt take less than 250, as long as you are experienced in what you are doing.
