Question:

Who agrees that, before 1939, Hitler was probably the greates politican in history.?

I am not talking about the holocaust, WW2 or any other atrocities. While I accept that Kristellnacht, and other opression DID exist in Germany at this time, I am focusing on more of the political side of Hitler. He peacefully rebuilt Germany's old empire in Europe, averted war, signed a pact with Russia, Anschluss with Austria, peace in our time and increased the quality of life for the majority of people in Germany. Therefore, if Hitler had DIED before WW2, who else believes his political work would still be awed today, without the downer of his actions in WW2?

Hitler was not a nutcase, he was a political leader of Germany. I am English, and my country aided in his defeat, something which I am glad of. However, he certainly had NO Demons possessing him, thats the american stereotype that he was "possessed by the devil" and had to be stopped for God. There is no god, nor devils, don't be so ridiculous. Hitler was a man who loved his country, not a madman, nor a devil. He was a man. While the acts he committed seem unbelievable, he was sane, right until 1945, he merely did what he thought was right, like the extremists seen today. They are not mad, merely far too devout to be stopped. I am thankful the Allies defeated him, but I HAVE MY FACTS STRAIGHT. He was, to begin with, the greatest politician seen in many years, gaining and consolidating power over Germany, and aiding many people in their lives. Without Hitler, we wouldn't have National Service, or motorways.

There appears to be some confusion. The pacts Hitler signed were not "hipocrosy". We allowed him to sign them, as the T of V was far too harsh on Germany, reparations would only just have been paid if we hadn't ammended it. Seems to me that you need to go back to school... Also, I am only pro Hitler in so far as his contribtion to how he helped Germany, and his people. I am CERTAINLY NOT condoning ANY of the events during WW2. He killed thousands of my countrymen, and Americas, FAR MORE Russians, which no one seems to honour. I hate him for that. However, I am merely showing that, while atrocities were committed, he may've been the cleverest leader seen around the world in a long time. I am not right wing, nor left wing. I live in Britian and vote Conservative. Down with fascism and communism.

While my "ignorance" may be appalling. Your arrogance is disgusting. I'm imagining youre an American who believes they liberated the world from the devil himself. Youre wrong. You should thank the Russians once in a while. Without them, wed all have lost.
