Question:

5 megapixel cameras? Experience?

Ok so i found out that megapixels determine how big of a print you can make of your photo without damaging the wuality. the more MP the better... i'm an amateur photogrpaher, i started 4 1/2 years ago..
Te camera i have now is 3.1 megapixels it's a Kodak Easyshare DX6340, and i lie it aloooot. but it's messed up. my mom took it to Wolf Camera and said it would be $130 to fix it, or for the smae price i could get a 5 MP camera. I don't really want one because my sister has one that is 5MP (Kodak EasyShare C340) and i ahte the pictures it takes. It's not very good quality.
I wanted some feedback from people with 5 megapixel cameras... do you like em? are they worth it? i don't really print out my photos, or enlarge em. Should i get a 5 or even a 4 MP if i like the 3 MP camera i ahve now? I've had it for 4 years(since ive started w/photography)

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Well... first I would go to a couple other camera dealers and see if Wolf Camera is telling the truth about your camera.
Then if you have to by a new camera I own a five MP camera and its a nice camera. Its from the Canon Powershot series (A530) and I like it a lot. Also the the quality of the picture could be affected by the type of camera you purchase.
Also i have noticed that when my friend printed pictures from MY camera out on her cameras printer, the pictures were terrible. So I guess you need to program your printer FOR the type of camera that you have.
