Has anyone read a book about?

it was about a young girl who has to work with sick people ( it think it was) and she ends up falling in love with this young man who is dieing. all i remeber about the book like word from word is that she was in the room when he died and she couldnt pull herself together to call the nurse.. Anyone one know the name of this book????

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It really sounds like a book by Lurlene Mcdaniel! I can't remember which one though. I'm sure I have heard of it and it was by her. Most of her books are about teenage girls who are going through a traumatic experience like the death of a loved one or a serious illness.
