Which is the better line in this poem?

1.Thoughts collide and stumble into complications,
weaving tangled and unsolvable webs
OR
2.Faded secrets and memories of my unique past fall forward,
into the brightness of this contained, enclosed space

The word unique killed the second one for me. It's a word you use when you try to describe a bad date. It's too vague in a poem it doesn't really say anything.

The first one is my choice.
