Hey all, our ball theme this year is Midnight at the Oasis (sorta an egyptian/arabic theme?) ... We really need ideas for decorations and also for a (semi) decent backdrop for fotos ... its our last year so we really wanna make it count!!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: As a simple photo background nothing says Midnight at the Oasis like a crescent moon, a few stars, a date palm tree, a camel, and a pyramid but if you didn't want to go that campy and a little more subtle, the palm tree and the moon and stars would do. As far as the Midnight at the Oasis theme, I think the more campy the better, and the interiors of Arabian tents could easily be achieved with simple colorful cloth, tacked up along the walls to give it the look like the interior of a desert sheik's grand tent. The photo booth could be actually a pointed top tent, easily constructed with a large window in the rear to show off the photo background.
