Question:

What is the function of the AF Point in photography?

I have a Canon EOS Rebel K2 and I want to learn how to manually take pictures. I know how to manually adjust the AF point, but I don't know how to read it and I don't know when it's correct.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Autofocus (or AF) is a feature of some optical systems that allows them to obtain (and in some systems to also continuously maintain) correct focus on a subject, instead of requiring the operator to adjust focus manually.

If you set your camera on AF, you don't have to adjust the focus manually. The camera will take care of that on it's own. You will only have to wirry of youy are setting the focus manually.
