If you got it from Amazon.com or some other big company, they usually do their best to get it to you the day it comes out (they actually get it a couple days earlier, and so can send it out so it gets to you on time). You can usually pre-order in a store too, and they will call you when they get it (the day it comes too).

So, chances are, you'll get it right away, or a day late at most.
