Question:

Have we created a world within a world?

It occured to me recently, that the most important bit about us is our "spirit", its a matter of personal belief i guess. I was thinkin that we have created a world within this one that is all to do with ego and self self self, hence the competition, the inbalance, the threatened sense of personal security. the drive for achievement and success, material wealth, perfection, blah blah blah. I was goin down that road, successful business, nice car, great potential, then i realised that its all about livin in the moment and connecting with ur heart and that none of that other stuff matters. Then i got to thinkin about tribes livin in the jungle the same way for thousands of years and they just dont go down the road we do, probably cause they have a connection with something bigger than they are. Thats where we've lost our way. If i can step out of my head and therefore connect with my heart, i can see how that would work on a global basis. hmm... should b doin me paperwork!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The tribes in the jungle had their own problems and fears, and now that we have advanced in science and other areas, we now have no fear of a lion breaking into our home and stealing our children. However, we now have other worries, as you mentioned extensively above, our egos, our selves, our world in the world. Humans have always had to fight, against nature, or against themselves in conflict. One cannot escape from that which follows ones own nature. We build this world to escape, to find that false sense of security. In a way, you, and and a native in another era, are completely the same. However, we are at a different level. So, indeed, we are not lost, and infact I would say the opposite. I think, however, it is justified to say that perhaps we have grown oblivious to that special beckoning of our spiritual side, but it would be invidious to say that we are lost...

This is only my opinion coming from a 15 year old. This answer is completely subjective, and I hope you appreciate it...
