Question:

Do you relax and read a book?

Answering my question as to whether he had read Wilf Self's latest book, he replied 'Yes. I speed read it. It's about a taxi driver or taxidermist. I thought it was very well written and a page turner.' People used to read the reviews and claim to have read it. now they 'Speed read'.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I would say that if he doesn't know whether the book was about a taxi driver or a taxidermist, he read it a little TOO speedily. And a "page turner"--I imagine so: I can just see those pages flying by!

Seriously, what is the point of reading a book in such a manner, especially if the "reader" clearly gets so little out of it?
