I've learned the basics of the events (e.g. revolutionary war, world wars, european history) but I need someone to list down the important events kind of like this: Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: LOL... It's very hard but I'll give you a very GENERAL outline: - 4-6 BC birth of Jesus Christ (it's hard to explain but I did NOT make a mistake...post a question if you don't know this problem in history...) - around 30 AD Christ dies - 110 AD maximum expansion of the Roman Empire (almost all of Europe + Regions of the Middle East and N. Africa, 22 mil people!!) -around 200 AD beginning of the end for the Roman Empire -VI-V centuries - the barbarians settle down in western Europe (in the later centuries they merge with local civilizations and form the western nations), the empire is divided in half....east is more powerful. -476-the West falls (officially). - 533-557 - the Eastern Roman Empire reconquered certain parts of the West..later they will lose them -around 550 the Mayans reach their maximum expansion in Central America - 570 (?) - 632 Mohamed lives and establishes Islam... -around 608 China is the greatest power in Central and Eastern Asia! - 632 - 732 - the Arabs conquer Syria, Palestine, the Persian Empire, North Africa, 2/3 of Spain, reach France and are defeated (733 by Charles Martel) and stopped...they siege Constantinople(capital of the Byzantine Empire - the former Eastern Roman Empire) and fail. -771-814 the reign of Charles the Great (Charlemagne)...he has an empire that contains France, Germany and half of Italy...at the same time Calif in Arabia is Harun Al -Rashid -827 England is unified as a Nation by Egbert..for the first time we can talk about THE ENGLISH people... -860 Rurik the Viking establishes Novgorod...the beginning of Russia -IX - XI centuries...the W. European nations begin to form on the ashes of Charlemagne's Empire. -1006 - Viking reach America (actually Newfoundland). -1096 - 1270 the crusades against the Turks that occupied the Holy Land. - 1200 the Aztecs reach peek in Mexico -1215-1227 the huge Mongolian empire led by Genghis Han - aaaahhh!!
