Question:

Trying to find an Italian artwork?

This is probably going to be useless but I am really, really trying to find out the name of a church that has this particular work done on its ceiling in Italy, most likely from the renaissance period.
I think the artist's name began with a D. It was painting on a ceiling and it was this brilliant mixes of reds and oranges and yellows depicting a religious scene and right in the middle it appeared as if the ceiling was invisible or just not there. I just...fruitless isnt it since renaissance period in Italy was fueled by commissions to work in churches lol.
I have come across it in the book: History of Western Art w/ Core Concepts. It was my sister's textbook but she sold it and now its only available online for like $120.
Does anyone know another source for finding Italian artwork i.e. online catalogue?
Thanks...

Um no its not the Sistine Chapel. Its actually a little less known church.
And yes I plan to go to Italy but I clearly cannot run around, hiting every church. Im simply looking for guidelines or or a catalogue that might help.
