Is pursuing a career in Photography worth it?

I'm really getting into photography because I love taking photos. But will it be worth it because I hear alot of people say photographers do not get paid very well. Even though if I don't decide to become a professional photographer, I won't stop taking photos.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The salary depends on where you are located. If you're located in a very rural area then the pay will be lousy. If you're located in highly populated areas or reasonably large cities then the money is reasonably good. The money depends on the quality of your work, how well people like it, and how good you are at marketing. People always do well in doing something that they enjoy doing, period. Is it worth it -- to me it is but that may vary according to each individual. I am sure that most successful photographers would agree with me. Everytime I work I make a minimum of $125 per hour.
