How do you view the elderly?

Why do so many people view elderly people with negative feelings? Isn't there beauty in age?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Great question. My wife is an occupational therapist who loves working with the elderly and listening to their life history.

I wish I was more that way, and obviously I hope to treat all people with respect. But inside I sometimes get annoyed with the elderly because I am usually in a hurry and they go so slow.
