How can i get better at taking pics?

i'm a very pretty person but everytime i take pics they all turn out ugly or i just don't like them.how can i get better at taking good pics

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Here's a fact: that some people are more "PHOTOGENIC" than other. Even some pretty people are not photogenic. That's because the camera views with one lens and we view with 2 eyes.

Strange as it may seem that even at beauty contests, they acknowledge that not everybody who are beautiful are not always photogenic. I write this because they give special awards, and one of them is Miss Photogenic. You would think everybody in a beauty contest should be awarded Miss Photogenic.

Here's another fact: many famous people (movie stars) are often only photographed in just one "angle." So the secret is that if you feel you don't photograph very well, then look for that one or two (or three) angle that really works for you well.

You might want to try and work with a professional (experienced) portraitist who can find it for you and then concentrait on working on that angle.
