Question:

Frames per second?

You know how in a movie, the movie reel goes a certain number of frames per second right. Well how many frames per second does the human eye see. And if it's something like 40 fps, then could what would happen if someone made a film that was shot a 50 fps?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Current motion picture film runs at 24 fps. The old silent films were filmed at 18 fps.

That said, now we are seeing video (usually shot at 30 fps) being shot at frame rates closer to motion picture film to make it easier to duplicate the product on to film and released in theaters. You now find the option of CineFrame24 and CineFrame30 modes.

Slow motion is filmed at a higher (32, 48 and up) fps and then played back at 24 fps
