Question:

Which instrument to play?

I played violin for 3 years, guitar 1 year, started piano since 6.
I recently stopped violin, and signed up for Percussion and winds but don't know which intrument to play. I'd like to play xylophone if they have it, if not then the DRUMS. BUT, drums r like 500 bucks.. and too big for my house... What intrument should i play if they don't have xylophone?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: If you have played piano, then the xylophone is a great instrument. If not the xylophone, try the timpani. You seem to have great musical training. Timpani is a very hard instrument, it requires someone who is very competent, which you seem to be.

If you are going to play a winds instrument, from your background. I would say play the flute. Since they both read in the same clef and both are very good solo instruments.

Have fun!
