Question:

Why is it ok for anthropologists and archeologists to dig up the graves of our ancestors?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I don't think it's okay. From what I have observed, it is done more out of curiosity than any justified necessity. But, since you ask why is it okay, I will strive to answer the others' position:

They state it assists in discovering why and how people died, and they hope to apply that scientific knowledge towards, and for, the betterment of humankind. They say it is also used to identify remains, etc.

Factually speaking, however, it is done for an historical basis and rarely for any benefit to present life. From what I have observed, it is done more out of curiosity than any justified necessity.
