My faith as a Christian has been tested; yet, as I look back over the events of my life, I see God's hand at work. I'm not apt to question the one who created me. I accept by faith and faith alone. There are times I delve into my faith to answer others on this subject. Still, I see no point in offering up a detailed explanation. I believe in the birth, life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus. One day that faith shall be rewarded. As Jesus spoke to his disciples in the book of Matthew: "Come to me all who are heavy laden, and I shall give you rest." How can anyone look at a rainbow, sunset, the ocean, a small child taking it's first steps, or even in considering the number of "lucky" conincidences in their lives. Do they not realize? Can some of these phenomenon be explained by science. Of course. God is the imparter of knowledge. And the fact that they can be so is further evidence in my mind of God's existence not a negation. And you are absolutely correct, we are not derived from apes. A ludricous idea at best. God gave man dominion over everything on earth. And He is Spirit and truth above all else. If we were, He would not have sent His son to earth as man but baboon. Incidentially, this is no insult to apes because God created them as well. And all of His creation is precious but none more IMPORTANT to Him than we are. How lovely and reassuring to rest in that truth. Scripture speaks for itself. All those who are receptive should read (the entire Book so as not to take anything out of context) then shall it be resolved in their minds. Any seeming paradoxes are a result of translation that is why Timothy says "Study to show thyself approved; a workman rightly dividing the word of truth." The Holy Spirit is the revealer of truth but first you must accept the resurrection of Jesus as truth. That simple? Absolutely.
