Question:

What was it about Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire that make them, them?( Other than their dancing)?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Gene Kelly was a very athletic dancer. He was an athlete also, so he used movement from sports in his routines. While Fred Astaire was a more elegant dancer. His movements were usually smooth, graceful and incredibly precise. He danced more with female partners and they were always incredibly in sync with one another.
Both of them were perfectionists and in most of their movies they have someway to draw attention to their feet. For example, Fred Astaire would usually wear a color of socks that stood out. Both were creative with props. Gene Kelly taught quite a co-stars to dance, such as Debbie Reynolds for Singing in the Rain and Frank Sinatra in On the Town and Anchors Aweigh. He made them and others look great. I also must mention Gene Kelly's body---yahooooooo! Fred Astaire, a little on the skinny side.
