How far back can you trace your heritage?

i can trace mine back 8 generations, in the early 1700s. what about you?

8 gerations on mothers side.

9 Generations on my fathers side

Now on my Ex - husbands side (the father of my daughters)

I can trace his fatthers side back to 1222

19 gerations.....I could go back father than that but the Info gets Sketchy.

Thats direct lines, I get lost on some times on the side braches and there are cousins by marriage goinging back to 200 AD. I just can't help it.

Now Ancestry.com has a thing where you can find your famous relatives I just couldn't help it I had to link them to my tree. I even found census records to back it up!

Ty Cobb is my: 5th Cousin 1 times removed

Pretty Boy Floyd = 5th Cousin 1 times removed

Jimmy Earl Carter = 7th Cousin

George Walker Bush = 8th Cousin 2 times removed (not removed enough)

and there is more. and I linked all of them that had census records.

Is there a Geology Anonymous ? I think I need help?.......LOL
