Chapter 1:

I ran out the door, trying not to look back. I knew this was the only thing keeping me safe. Maybe even the both of us. I knew I would be running for my life at one point but I never knew it would be this soon. I wouldn??t have been running if he didn??t put that knife to my throat. He was probably coming after me so he could hurt me even more. My friends said he wasn??t good for me, so did my parents, and one thing that scares me is they were right. Bella said it the most, each time she saw she saw Emmett she wanted him to leave. He shouldn??t have put that knife to my throat. Considering I shouldn??t have moved, I should??ve talked to him and told him to calm down. I knew he was running after me, I just knew it. He was probably trying to get me to stop so he could either talk to me or hurt me. To me Emmett made me feel safe, he used to at least. I wanted to look back and see if he was still coming, I knew he was but I just wanted to see. I glanced back and sure enough Emmett was running after me. I looked back and suddenly fell to my knees. It hurt so much, not only did the scrapes hurt but it was the pain that he left me with. The pain that makes you want to curl up into a little ball and cry. I looked at my hands; they were bleeding along with my right knee. Emmett was getting closer to me and I didn??t want anything to happen. I knew he would try to do something to make me not scared of him anymore but that wasn??t going to work. I was scared of him, scared of what he had become, maybe it was just me, but I think he did this to himself.
??Rosalie,?? he had finally caught up to me and noticed my cuts.
??Rosalie, are you ok??? He reached out to take my hand and looked at the cuts.
??I don??t know, I don??t feel so well,?? my head was pounding and I was feeling so dizzy.
??Rose, I??m sorry let??s get you inside,?? Emmett said trying to hold me up. My head got worse and I felt so dizzy, I thought I was going to pass out.
??My head is pounding and I??m so dizzy, I feel like I??m going to faint,?? Emmett picked me up putting my arm around him for support. It didn??t help too much, I just collapsed onto the ground, unconscious. The next thing I knew I was in Emmett??s arms being carried back to his house probably.
??Rose are you ok??? Emmett didn??t look so dangerous anymore, I knew I should be yelling at him to let me down but I was too weak to.
??I don??t know. My head still hurts.?? We were walking up his driveway now, hopefully I could talk to him. He set me down on the couch and sat at the end of it. He lifted up my feet and put them down on his knees, so he could sit closer to me.

??No it??s my fault I??m the one who moved and ran,?? I was regretting that part I really shouldn??t have ran.

He was trying so hard to make sure I didn??t blame myself for what he did. I knew what I did was a bad thing to choose but I didn??t know what else to do. If I stayed there what could??ve happened? Would I have died?
??If you stayed where you were I??m not sure what I would have done,?? he said reaching for my hand and looking at the cuts.

??Right when you left that door I went running after you. I knew you thought I was trying to kill you, but I wasn??t. I don??t know what I was thinking, I really don??t. I??m not sure what I would do without you, you make me safe.?? Did he really just say that? I couldn??t believe it, he said I make him feel safe I thought it was the other way around. Now he made me feel safe, I didn??t think I had anything to do with him not hurting me.
??I mean if it wasn??t for you, I would??ve probably killed myself by now.??

In a few more minutes I just fell asleep, I was so tired from running and staying up late thinking about so much. I felt Emmett getting up, I hoped he wasn??t going to do anything. I heard him talking to someone but the phone didn??t ring, and no one was at the door. He probably called someone but I don??t know who or why. He hung up and a few minutes passed by and I was half awake when I heard the doorbell.
??Hey Emmett,?? it was Dallas, why was he here Emmett knew I hate him.
??Why is she here??? I wanted to smack him in the face but instead I just rolled over to face the other way.
??Well she came over and I got a little mad. So I put a knife to her throat then she ran away. I ran after her and she fell and scraped her hands and knee. Then I was trying to get her back to my house but she collapsed. So I had to carry her, and then she fell asleep.??

Half an hour later sure enough Emmett came to my house.

I was just sitting on my bed in tears looking at the picture on my night table. It was a picture of me and Emmett sitting on the beach, it was our 3rd month anniversary. We went to the beach then had a party. I threw the picture to the floor, the frame broke into pieces and I heard someone knocking on the door.
??Rose are you ok??? It was Dallas someone that I could trust even though sometime he scared me.

I knew tomorrow Emmett would be here again, just him with me. Even though I didn??t show it I was a bit scared of him still. Even though he apologized for putting the knife to my throat I was still scared. I didn??t know if he would do that again or something worse. I had no control over that, but I did have control over when it would be done. If he did put a knife to my throat again I wouldn??t run this time. The only thing I??m truly scared of is if he actually cuts me. What if he really does slit my throat? I don??t think he will but if he does, what will happen to me? I knew what would happen to me but I didn??t want to think about it. Not tonight at least. I finally fell asleep around 2:00. The next day I woke up late, probably around 11:00. I was still tired from my late night of worrying over nothing. I had breakfast and decided to call Bella and tell her about all of this.

Maybe an hour later Dallas came to tell me that Emmett really didn??t go with the guys. He went to go meet a girl he met in the summer. I got pissed and broke that picture of us together. Emmett came to talk to me and it??s all good now.

I put my usual make-up on; eye shadow, a little bit of eye liner and mascara and lip stick. I put some more money in my purse, I had my eyes on a pair of classic silver ballet flats with a Polk-a-dot bow. Bella, Emmett and Dallas finally came. Now there was one thing I didn??t have to worry about,

Bella was all over Dallas like i thought. Emmett looked even more gorgeous then last time, maybe it was how he was dressed or the axe scent drifting off him. I was so glad I got to go to the mall that meant shopping and lots of fun. When we got to the mall the first thing we did was take pictures in the photo both. It was sort of hard to fit all 4 of us in there but we did. Bella and Dallas knelt on the ground and me and Emmett sat on the bench. The pictures turned out so good. I ended up getting my flats and another pair of high heels, they were gold with straps that went across the heel and down to the toes in a zigzag. Bella got a new pair of jeans that were really cute. Emmett got a new shirt that looked really good on him. Dallas got Bella some perfume she really wanted, but didn??t have money to buy. We ended up going to a movie after our long time at the mall. It was a boring movie, I either watched Bella flirting with Dallas or the very boring movie.

He handed it to me and I opened it and inside was a necklace. On a silver chain was a circle with little diamonds in it. He must have got it when I was with Bella trying on clothes.

I was hoping he didn??t spend to much money on me, or maybe he was trying to regain my trust. If he was he didn??t need to regain my trust he already had it, even though what he did he apologized and its fine. I was really happy that it was summer vacation, I didn??t have to worry about work or anything. The next day I decided to take a walk down to the park and clear my mind. I grabbed a water bottle and slipped on a pair of flip-flops and headed to the park. I walked down to the river and sat down on the grass. I looked at the water rippling in the wind. It was so peaceful here and I loved it. No Dallas, or Emmett, just me. I knew when I got back Emmett would leave at least 6 messages asking where I was. A few minutes later I heard some branches cracking near me. I hoped no one found out where I was going or anything. I looked behind me and sure enough Dallas was standing there smiling at me.

??Well that??s too bad because I do.?? Usually I win in these fights about me and Emmett being together. There was only one time where he won, and it was for a good reason. It was about 3 months ago in April; Dallas was telling me about how I shouldn??t be going out with Emmett but one thing he said that he usually doesn??t say. He told me that Emmett hated me and was really going out with me for a joke. It was true so we broke up but then he started to really like me and we went back out. That was probably the only time I listened to Dallas and the only time I ever will. We were at Emmett??s house now and Dallas finally gave up from his fight with me about Emmett. Hopefully Dallas would leave me alone; I was getting tired of him being around me all the time. Emmett opened the door before I got to knock and he pulled me inside, leaving Dallas standing out there.
