Whats your favorite book and/or author? Why?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: George R. R. Martin. "A Song of Ice and Fire." series. first book titled "A Game of Thrones." Martin is a genious. even though his books are fantasy fiction he writes them in a way that you feel like it could be real life. They are the least predictable books I have ever read, and he has a way of killing off main characters which other authors (J.K Rowling,) are just now starting to do all because Martin and the quality of his writing. Honest truth I don't think there is even a close second to this series. "A Song of Ice and Fire."

Tim Lahaye's "Left Behind." series was pretty incredible too. It's christian fiction and is about the book of revelations. The Rapture, and the antichrist. In the now second to last book (New one just came out.) Jesus comes back with his army of saints and destroys the anti christ and sets up his 1000 year reign on earth like the book of revelations says. This series was great and made me cry with happiness.

J. K. Rowling: "Harry Potter." I don't really know what to say about this series. Rowliings has a great gift to be able to make the books get older as the characters do. Harry Potter just kinda grows on you. They are not predictable, and she follows George R. R. Martins lead by making no character safe. Love this series.

Piers Anthony: series about "Xanth" ok this series has 30 books in it with another one coming out this fall. These books are the funnest books I have ever read and I read everyone of them and some twice. Xanth is a fantasy land that basically is another dimension of florida. with everyone having a magic talent, and everything is a pun. This series is also great.

Orson Scott Card's "Enders Game." There is a whole series of books written after "Enders Game." Probably because "Enders Game." won just about every award an author can win. However only "Enders Game." was brilliant. this book was one of the best books I have ever read, and they should read it in school. it was brilliant.

Robert Jordans: "A Wheel of Time." series. This series is awsome.

I could honestly list books and series all night but this should be enough to get the point.
