Question:

Would someone know what glue/or protectant i could use for protecting chalk work, on board or paper? .?

have strange desire to make use of black light/chalkboard result
in serious endeavor/attempt..but, so far, not sure if there is even
a adhesive that could be applied to chalk that wouldn't alter (or destroy) the work...sorta/kinda frustrating...but also sorta/kinda uneasy to share this unease because i think it is an art form not exactly looked at that closely...so, i'm selfish guy.

Its cool to work on chalkboards. You can buy drawing FIXATIVE from any art shops. They come in spray cans.

If you are a student and trying to save $$$, you can buy hairspray (hairnet spray is the best!) however, the adheresive would turn yellowish after a while. It good for practise work.

When you spray fixative on your finished work, remember to spray in an open space and place news papers under your artwork. Spray from about 10 inches away, den slowly but continuously, spray from bottom to up and seal the next spray line over just a bit to cover the rest. You will only need one layer.

There are also WORKABLE FIXATIVE if your work requires touching up or heavy layers. Find them in the art shops or supply stores.

If all else fails, you may want to consider taking photos of your chalkboard work for documentation instead.

Good luck in your art making!
