The canvas and the paint are the materials that can give expression to the dream. The painting can only be as good as the artist. The absence in the artist of a spiritual life might block him from sensing and expressing the spirit outside of him.
With a motivation that is pure and inspirational, the artist might capture a dream in its pure form for others to admire forever. But 'capture' confines, imprisons, restricts. The canvas and the paint can produce something that is beautiful and lasting. But unchanged. I am the dream. Tranistory. Ephemeral. Ever changing.
