Will I have needed to read the first 6 Harry Potter books?

Question:

Will I have needed to read the first 6 Harry Potter books?

I read 1 and 5, and plan to read 6, will the movies be enough for 2,3,4 when I read book 7 or is there anything important that was left out in the movies?

Can I read book 7 and know what I need to know from reading 1,5,6 and seeing 2,3,4?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Yea I think you can but there will probobly be little parts in the seventh book that you dont get because they left them out in the movies but that doesnt really matter you should be able to read it without any major misunderstandings.
