Question:

Who is defined by their mistakes in life? who is defined by their successes?

there are two yardsticks you may use to measure a person's accomplishments in life. some people are defined by their mistakes, others are defined by their successes.

give an example or two of each, and tell why you think there's a distinction: does it maybe have to do with how famous or powerful a person is, or how far they've come in life? is this 'double standard' fair, or unavoidable?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: If you win the World Series you are defined by your successes and if you lose the World Series you are defined by your mistakes-like the ball going through Kurt Gibsons (I think he is the right person) legs and losing the World Series.

Of course you can win a world series and then do something really stupid like gambling on baseball like Pete Rose and then your defined by your mistakes/stupidity.
