Question:
'Making Suppositions' - how do you like this poem?
I??ve been running in the angry rain
Having no regrets
Trying to remove myself from your game
Trying to forget your nice-sounding name
The more time I spend with you
The more unreadable you become
More mysterious than ever
Yet near me all the time
I can only make suppositions about you
You manage to veil your life from me
Many opinions on you, how could I know what??s true?
I??m sitting in the sunlight, but around you
It??s only darkness and mist that I see
In response, I veil myself
And quit your company
I keep away from you
And the places you usually go to
But you??re out at your game again
You get in the company of silence
And I can only make speculations in your absence
The best I can do
Seems to be running away from you
To get rid of these feelings of curiosity and uncertainty
Wondering whether I should trust you
Hoping you??re wondering about me in return
Desperately trying to understand me yourself
Not daring to ask directly
Imagining novels about my life
While being aware it??s only fiction
