What do you like about harry potter..?

i'll be reading harry potter series this summer. and i have some questions.
1) is it in the perspetive of harry? (like "i, harry said sniffed my foot" or "harry sniffed his foot"?)
2) what do you like about the books? what makes them so great?
3) are they better then stephanie meyer's writing?
