What do you suppose happened to all the Native Americans kidnapped by the British in the 1500s?

their descendants are obviously there in England. What if many people in England are of Native American descent. And what about those kidnapped by Spain and France and Portugal? We know from oral tradition this happened. The Chickorah Tribe in South Carolina claims as many as 1,500 were taken to Barbados. What can we do for those people in Europe who were born of Native American ancestry? I think if someone who is born of the Native Americans has the right to be automatic citizens here and of the tribes their ancestors were taken from. There were thousands taken to England long before John Smith and Jamestown.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Speaking as a American Indian....I doubt it very much....most of the decendants of these Indian have so little Indian blood (if they pricked their finger there goes your Indian DNA) unless they went there to visit recently lol I know some who have........Im sure many are happy with being English,Spanish,French,and Portugeise.....I dont think they deserve American Indian Citizenship on what basis?....none of these people woud want to come live on no Rez I doubt that very much....and most over there have a misconception of what REAL INDIANS are.......(looking at hollywood films and TV).....put that with all the fake wannabes and twinks that go over to those countries making them think ....this is how we live...gimme a break....I heard they are doing alot of stuff in europe that have nothing to do with the culture.....on top of all this many nations have blood quantum laws.....I have met whites who claim to be indian their favorite is always Cherokee....and those who claimed citizenship in that nation (western Cherokee) and could care less as long as they get an enrollment card.....couldnt tell you about being cherokee....Couldnt tell you the history...hell never even went to a powwow....see they can now obtain benefits from the tribe....and all those who are truly involved with their culture have to deal with this garbage.....I think the worst thing I have ever saw was a german man who came to a powwow with black braided wig....bright colored chicken feathered (blinding bright colors) plains Indian Headdress and if that wasnt bad enough he had on lederhosen......give me a break!
